“Very many thanks. You and your team gave us exemplary service and Tom the best of send offs.”

Our Service …..

The first decision you have to take following a bereavement is often the most difficult of all.

Attending to funeral arrangements can be a confusing, daunting and, at times, traumatic experience to face.

We provide a service which is sympathetic, sensitive and, above all, dignified.

We take care of everything in a calm, unhurried and discreet manner - giving you peace of mind when you need it most.

We are committed to providing you with choice (we do not offer “packages” of pre-selected products and services other than those we are obliged to offer) and we will do as much or as little as you want us to do including providing a simple and cost effective Direct Cremation option.

We are just a phone call away……

A word about Covid 19 ….

The arrival of Covid 19 has had a profound affect on the way funerals are arranged. Although the fundamentals remain unchanged we have, inevitably had to adapt the way we work.

So, be prepared for the use of more technology! Although we would much prefer to meet face to face, Zoom calls, texts and emails are now routine when making arrangements and almost all the paperwork is being moved around electronically.

While the restrictions around funerals (in particular, the numbers of mourners that can attend) have been relaxed from 19th July attendees are still encouraged to wear masks indoors and to be respectful of the needs of vulnerable mourners. There are particular restrictions still in place for those who are self isolating or who have tested positive for Covid19.

If you have any questions do not be afraid to ask.

Advice & Guidance ….

We can guide you through every step of arranging the funeral.

We will explain the options, advise on practicalities including registering a death, help to complete the inevitable paperwork, book venues and organise all the important little details.

Practicalities ….

We will liaise with doctors, hospitals and the Coroner as required.

We can take the deceased into our care at any time of the day or night.

We even have a portable cooling system that can be used at home.

The all important question of Costs …..

We are often asked “how much does a funeral cost?” It is a bit like asking “how long is a piece of string?”.

There are so many variables depending on the choices made that it is difficult to answer the question directly. In the last 12 months our invoices have varied from under £750 to over £6,000! The average is currently around £3,000 with Direct Cremation costing as little as £1,250.

What we always do though, once we have a clear idea of what you have in mind, is to give you an estimate of the costs involved.

Details of the cost of our services and charges by local cemeteries and crematoria etc can be found here.

And you can always phone or email us for a quote.
